Organizing your book
Choose a deadline and time zone for your team, and understand when editing, downloads and online access end.
Choose a contribution deadline in the book’s settings. Include the date, time and time zone when you invite colleagues. When that deadline passes, new submissions and contributor edits close. The organizer can still review and arrange the book while its editing period is open.
Use a time zone such as Europe/London or America/New_York. The date and time you enter are interpreted in that zone. If the time is skipped or occurs twice during a clock change, choose a different time. The form will ask you to correct it.
A free draft lasts 30 days from creation. Your first confirmed payment starts 90 days of paid editing, followed by seven days to download finished files. See Settings for the actual dates for your book. Moving the contribution deadline does not extend those periods.
While the book is still editable, change the deadline in Settings and make sure contributions are open in Collect. Reopening contributions alone does not move a past deadline. Tell your team the new date and time zone.
