Storage and online access policy
Free drafts last 30 days. Paid books include 90 editing days and seven download days. Learn when access ends and content is queued for deletion.
Contribution deadlines and access dates
The organizer chooses when contributions close. This deadline does not replace or extend the book’s draft, editing, download or deletion periods. Check the actual dates in your book’s Settings.
Free drafts
The draft period is 30 days from creation. You can collect, review, arrange and generate a watermarked preview during this period. After it expires, online editing and contribution access end. An unpaid draft is scheduled for deletion seven days after expiry.
Paid editing
The editing period is 90 days from the first confirmed payment. You can generate updated versions during that period without paying again. Downloading a version again, receiving a duplicate payment event or changing a contribution deadline does not restart the editing clock.
Download-only window
After paid editing ends, you have seven additional days to download available finished files. New contributions, edits and exports are unavailable. A private reading link works only while its access remains valid and it has not been revoked.
Scheduled removal
Online access ends when the download window closes. Messages, photos and exports are queued for deletion seven days later. Removal runs in the background and is retried if it fails. We do not treat removal as complete until it succeeds. The waiting period does not extend online access.
Deleting a book, contribution or account
An organizer can request deletion before expiry. Project deletion immediately revokes its online links and queues content removal. Deleting an individual contribution also invalidates online versions containing it. Account deletion signs the organizer out and starts removal of their projects. Limited order references and deletion records may remain for the approved financial or legal retention period.
Your local copies
Download the final PDF before online access ends and keep it somewhere safe. You can keep your downloaded copy on your own device. We cannot recover a local file you lose, recall a file already downloaded by someone else, or promise permanent online hosting.
Reminders, backups and records
Optional reminders notify only the organizer when they opt in. Do not rely on email as your only record of these dates. Daily encrypted recovery backups expire after 30 days. Application logs are rotated daily and retained for up to 30 days, administrative audit records for 365 days, and recovery deletion identifiers for 90 days. Website access logs are disabled. Deleted book content in a backup is inaccessible; the latest deletion records must be applied before a recovered service is opened. Limited financial records are retained for at least seven years from the transaction, with an annual review and longer retention only for a specific legal obligation or unresolved dispute.
